COTEC is the Spanish foundation that has tracked the country's innovation since 1996. Its 2021 anuario reported on 2020: a monograph on the forty-plus problems the pandemic caused or worsened, and how innovation answered them. The year everyone wanted to erase.

So we made one you can.

The whole book runs on Toshiba's erasable toner, which prints in a single blue. Charts, maps, illustrations and type, all built in the one ink the technology allows. When the year is filed, you take the book apart, feed the loose pages back through any laser printer, and the heat lifts every mark off. A block of paper becomes a block of paper again.

Inside, we turned a year of hard data into something you would actually read. The editorial system, the illustrations, and the infographics that carry the report: economy, education, Europe, all in that one blue.
